David most recently held the position of Chief Credit Officer of Chartis, the general insurance business of American International Group ("AIG"), where he had responsibility for all credit-related risk assumed by Chartis worldwide. Prior to that, David had an international career in the U.K., U.S., Canada and South Africa, creating and building a number of increasingly senior business and risk management roles for major financial institutions; including, AIG, ANZ, Barclays and General Re. David also has experience as a trustee (including as Chairman) of U.K.-based occupational pension plans.

He holds a MA from Cambridge University, where he read Law at St. John's College; and is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London.
